Northern Cyrpus

A four day trip (?) to Northern Cyprus which was supposed to be an excruciating photographworkshopdays kinda thing but we ended up running away from the conferences with my mom. I participated in the exhibit and that was the main reason for our visit but I can't lie since I can count the hours I spent in the gallery itself on my fingers.

Yeah baby, I'm a bad girl.

A bad girl that truly enjoyed the trip and ended up falling in love with this sunny, sunny country.

Tavla between Turks and Greeks.

An international past-time?
Modern and ancient infusion.
Plane ride home.
I truly love cemeteries.
And rain.
Gypsy kid amusing herself by rolling on the floor.

Nicosia.
On the campus where the exhibition was held.
The other side. Southern Cyprus.

We have the same brooding people, the same purple trees, the same luxury cars, the same electric system but different names.
Photographer Adnan Veli Kuvanlik.
"-Sence benim adim ne? "

He's name was Hasan, let's just dub him Deli Haso shall we?

"-Ben delimiyim?
-Evet
-Nerden bildin?"
The only conference we participated in. Which I slept through.
Ece and Isa. Lovely young pinhole photographers from Adana.

Gotta say that Jesus here is a bit on the drunk side.
Pasham.

A taxi-driver.
Dolmus.
Denizciler sokak.

I took this especially for my one and only Naz and her marines.
Pigeons. I guess this could also be for Naz but on a more mean side.
Contemplating the sea.
In a chuch in Girne.

Again cemetary.
Love that shade of green.

Solitude. Girne.
He fits in a box and had a very mean look. Sometimes (voir la plupart du temps) kids scare the shit out of me.
GAH! Those flower fields!

Pure bliss!
Now ain't this cute?
Grabbing hold on our history.

Gazi Magusa
Tourists doing what they do best, being curious.

An old church turned into a mosque and my mom acting like a mouse. Or trying to pray, but who's she kidding now.
Snap snap.
Military man. Yum.
Freedom.
I smell summer even in black and white.
The phone rang.
Desert seller.
Look out for your brother age.

Again gypsy kids.

Sandovic :D

Mad old woman.

You had to follow the blue brick road.

Brand new flashy airport in Ankara.

Silence.
Airplanes!
